Sensex, Nifty surge as inflation eases

DLF gains further ground

DLF had touched an intraday high of Rs 211.20 and an intraday low of Rs 190.05. At 2:23 pm, the share was quoting at Rs 209.80, up Rs 17.90, or 9.33%. It was trading with volumes of 4,610,720 shares. Yesterday the share closed up 5.44% or Rs 9.90 at Rs 191.90.

Mkts volatile; IT, banking, infra lead

The markets opened marginally higher in early trade but immediately turned volatile following mixed Asian cues. SBI, LT, BHEL, DLF, HDFC Bank, Reliance Communications and Wipro are leading this rally, while Hindalco, NTPC, Bharti, TCS, ONGC, SAIL, Nalco, and Maruti are draggers

DLF among major gainers

DLF is among major gainers on the Nifty. It had touched an intraday high of Rs 192.75 and an intraday low of Rs 176. At 3:08 pm, the share was quoting at Rs 191.55, up Rs 9.60, or 5.28%. It was trading with volumes of 16,616,180 shares. Yesterday the share closed up 1.82% or Rs 3.25 at Rs 181.95.

Mkts ranged; SBI, DLF, ICICI, Tata Steel, LT gain

The mkts are trading rangebound. The Nifty is swinging between 2693.65 and 2620.60. SBI, DLF, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, LT, PNB, SAIL, Maruti, Rel Infrastructure, HDFC, and Tata Motors are trying to support the markets. However, selling continues in Infosys, ONGC, Bharti, Wipro, NTPC, RIL, ITC, RComm, Hero Honda, Ranbaxy, Satyam, BHEL, and TCS.

Mkts volatile; Nifty hovering around 2650

The benchmark indices are trading volatile. Buying is seen in SBI, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, SAIL, LT, HDFC, TCS, Sterlite, Suzlon Energy, DLF, Unitech, and Tata Motors. However, Bharti, ONGC, Infosys, ITC, Wipro, HUL, Idea, Hero Honda, Satyam, Ambuja Cements, Hindalco, Maruti, Tata Power, and MM are pulling the indices down.

Nifty Dec futures at 5 pt discount

The series added 1.25 lakh share in open interest. DLF added 6.1 lakh shares in open interest

Mkts choppy; RIL, SBI, Tata Steel, LT, SAIL up

The markets bounced back in early trade following positive global cues, but immediately turned volatile. The Nifty is hovering around 2650 level. Unitech, Tata Steel, Rel Infra, RIL, Tata Motors, Suzlon, HDFC, JP Asso, ICICI Bank, DLF, LT, SBI, and DRL lead.

Mkts trade lower; RIL, ONGC, Infy, LT, HDFC, SBI weak

Markets are trading in negative terrain, despite showing smart recovery from lows of the day. Recovery led by Bharti Airtel, BHEL, NTPC, ITC, Idea, DLF, Reliance Infrastructure, Unitech, Ranbaxy, ICICI Bank, Ambuja Cements, ACC, Hindalco, SAIL and ABB.

DLF loses further ground

DLF has continued to down. It had touched an intraday high of Rs 200 and an intraday low of Rs 187.70. At 10:06 am, the share was quoting at Rs 189.70, down Rs 8.5, or 4.29%. It was trading with volumes of 173,311 shares. On Friday the share closed down 3.41% or Rs 7 at Rs 198.20.
